So Cobb(Leonardo DiCaprio) is a guy who goes into peoples dreams and steals their secrets for people. Cobb can go into other people's dreams with many other people too.(dream sharing, crazy I know) After he and Arthur(Joseph Gorden-Levitt) screw up a job they are actually offered another one that is much more difficult and complicated(crazy I know, but trust me that is least crazy thing in the entire movie). So even though it is a very dangerous job that "can't be done" Cobb decides to do it in the hopes that if he completes the job he'll be able to return home and see his kids. So Cobb puts together his team and they embark on this impossible mission. They have to plant an idea into Robert Fisher's(Cillian Murphy) head so that he will break up his fathers company. Now this is very difficult for many reasons but mainly because the person who's mind you're trying to plant the dream has to believe that he came up with the idea(I'm not going to even try and explain the logistics of this movie because that would take way too long and just end up confusing you and most likely me). So they kidnap Fisher and embark on a journey into his mind.

So that is a terrible description of the movie but like I said trying to explain this movie would be like two drunk guys trying to giving driving directions to each other, it would take forever and everyone would be confused and then end up vomiting. Anyway all you really need to know is that it is awesome. It is shot so well and looks awesome. It's kind of hard to follow but not so much so that you're just confused as hell while you're watching it. I mean almost every aspect of this movie is great.

I wish I could point out on person and say, "oh man this guy was great" everyone was great. The acting was phenomenal and not just by Leo. I don't really like Ellen Page but even she did a great job and remember the guy from "10 Things I Hate About You"(aka Joseph Gorden-Levitt) he was great too. I will say my favorite person in the movie, other than Leo of course, was Eames(Tom Hardy) that might be because he provided most of the humor but he was also just cool. He was like Jason Statham in "The Italian Job". Which brings me to my next point.

This movie while original as shit and awesome did remind me of a cross between two other movies. (A side note here: just because a movie reminds me of another movie doesn't mean that it's not a good movie, it's just that I like to compare movie similarities and can't help but being reminded of other movies that I've seen. Wow I just said the word movies a shit load.) I found this movie to be somewhat of a cross between "The Matrix" and "The Italian Job". So you have the classic movie where you need to steal something so you have to round up your crew of men that have their own areas of expertise and bring something to the group, like a lot of movies but Eames kind of reminded me of Jason Statham's character in "The Italian Job" so I chose that film. Then it's like "The Matrix" because they are hooked up to a machine and go to another "reality" and also there are awesome gun battles. Oh and throw in a little bit of "Repo Men" too. You know because of the whole dream thing in "Repo Men" never mind no one actually saw that movie.

So now you've got my take on this film and I know that is very important to you so now go see it. It's going to blow you away. Oh yeah I didn't even mention the ending. It will leave you thinking and talking about it for days to come. I know I was. Hell in the middle of it I started to wonder to myself if I was dreaming or not, who knows? I could be dreaming right now, I hope I'm not though because I'm taking a dump and that would be a terrible thing to wake up too.

I give the film a high A. GO SEE IT.
